Learn basic poses and breathing techniques from Peggy Reisser, an AAFA-certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, mind-body instructor and Kroc Centergy instructor. SilverSneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a series of seated and standing poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform seated & standing postures that increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Yoga offers a forum for children to exercise independently in a noncompetitive, yet focused environment. The fun and inspirational class encourages a child’s imagination with engaging songs and stories that exercise social, sensory and motor skills while increasing flexibility. This playful class encourages self-expression as well as building social skills. Children will strengthen their bodies as they learn how to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques. Kids sing, draw and play yoga in this energy releasing class. 45 minutes.

Youth enrolled in yoga club will improve strength, flexibility, mental focus, and coordination. Children will learn how to center themselves with various breathing and visualization techniques and will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun and challenging poses, partner and group poses, yoga games, creativity and self expression. 45 minutes

Slow Flow Yoga is a slower paced class, mindfully moving and breathing while holding poses longer. Learn yoga poses, yet still feel a relaxed and renewed experience. This class is geared toward beginners or those looking to develop their yoga practice and endurance by holding poses longer, building muscle strength, and gaining an understanding of breath and body alignment.

Restorative Yoga is a practice designed to restore the central nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Students will use props and restorative poses to support yoga postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body and relaxing the mind. This class is appropriate for students of all levels, and sound healing, meditation or other relaxation techniques may also be used.

Mat Pilates is a perfect blend of deep muscle toning, stretching, balancing, breathing techniques with a major focus on core muscles (abs, back, hips, shoulders).  Each class will work to balance all muscle groups’ strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. Mat Pilates is a challenging yet safe method to tone your muscles and increase mobility, balance, and strength in your everyday performance.
