The Kroc Center's non-traditional recreation and programming promote teamwork and collaboration among diverse young people from different communities. This programming includes events centered around Biblically-based questions and live music.

Structured programming will be offered throughout the week, including weekends and at night, offering youth an positive alternative to the types of activities that often lead to negative outcomes.

Experiential Learning Obstacle Course

Experiential Education is a process that occurs between a teacher and student that infuses direct experience with the learning environment and content.

Experiential Education benefits:

  • Presenting academic content experientially enhances comprehension and retention. It also increases self-confidence.
  • Students can draw valid and meaningful conclusions from their own experiences.
  • Students can more easily personalize the subject matter while engaging in experience.

Instead of a ropes course that loses effectiveness each time a student uses it, the Kroc Center's obstacle course is made of a series of themed rooms, giving users a new, fresh experience every time they visit.
