Kroc Kingfish Swim Team

Ages: 6-8yrs Tuesdays/Thursdays 4:45-5:30pm
          9-19yrs Tuesdays/Thursdays 5:30-7pm


Cost: $100 (Includes Mid-South Swim Fee & Championship Meet Dues)

Join the Kroc Center Swim Team to learn training and racing techniques. The Kroc Kingfish Swim Team competes in the Mid-South Swim Conference.

Participants must have completed the following perquisites: 

  • Kroc Center Swim Lessons  
  • Able to swim 25 yards freestyle unassisted   
  • Basic understanding of all four competitive strokes

GUPPY SWIM: INFANT/PARENT SWIM LESSONS

Ages: 6mo. - 2yrs | 40 min |$64

Parents are taught how to safely hold and work with their child in the water. Water exploration, games, and new water skills will make this class a fun experience for both of you.

TODDLER MID-DAY SWIM: SEAHORSE AND GUPPY

Moms can now bring their toddlers ages 3-5 years old to a mid-day Seahorse class, where their child(ren) can become more familiar with water safety and basic water skills in a fun and inviting environment. The mid-day class allows toddlers to learn in small intimate group where they learn how to swim while playing.

Toddler Beginner Swim Lessons: Seahorse

Ages: 3-8yrs | 55 minutes | $64
6 classes

Students in this class may be new swimmers or comfortable in the water. Students will learn to blow bubbles, put their face in the water, back float, front glide, roll from front to back and back to front, and swim freestyle with good form for short distances. Children will develop positive attitudes and safe practices in the water.

Toddler Intermediate Swim Lessons: Starfish

Ages: 3-5yrs | 55 minutes | $64
6 classes

This class will increase proficiency and build on the basic aquatic skills learned in Level 1 classes 1 and reinforce water safety concepts.  Children at the Starfish level will continue to practice skills taught in the previous class, and will begin to learn elementary breathing (blowing bubbles and bobbing up and down in shallow water), while swimming with support from the instructor. They will begin to learn how to float on their backs, as well as how to roll from their front to their back, and back to front with the support of the instructor. They will explore different depths of water by jumping into shallow and deep water with assistance from the instructor.

Toddler Advanced Swim Lessons: Sea Turtle

Ages: 3-5yrs | 45 min | $64

This class is designed for children who have the ability to swim two body lengths on their front and back and fully submerge their body under water. Participants in this class are advanced in their swimming skills, and have passed Seahorse level 1, and Starfish Level 2.

Youth Introductory Swim Lessons: Jellyfish

Ages: 6-12 yrs | 55min | $64
6 Classes

Students in this class may be new swimmers or comfortable in the water. This class will familiarize children with the aquatic environment and help them acquire basic aquatic skills. It is designed for children with no water experience.  Children will develop positive attitudes, and safe practices in the water.

Youth Beginner Swim Lessons: Stingray

Ages: 6-12 yrs | 55min | $64
6 Classes

This class will build on basic aquatic concepts and water safety skills learned in Jellyfish level 1. Students learn how to swim Free Style and the Back Stroke, and how to float unsupported. They will also learn how to tread water for 30-60 seconds, dive, and do a pike surface dive in order to retrieve toys 4 feet deep.

Youth Intermediate Swim Lessons: Dolphin

Ages: 6-12 | 55 min | $64

This class will build on sills learned in intro and beginner swim lessons. Dolphin level students will swim Free Style and the Back Stroke further and with more proficiency. Students learn how to do the Breast Stroke and the Elementary Backstroke, as well as the Butterfly kick. They work on diving and the pike surface dive. They learn how to do the feet first surface dive and retrieve toys 3.5-10 feet deep.

Youth Advanced Swim Lessons: Sea Turtle

Ages: 6-12 | 55 min | $64

Shark level students will work on the 4 competitive strokes, finishes, & turns at the wall. They also learn how to do a racing start. Coming into this level, they have learned Free Style, Back Stroke, Breast Stroke, and the Butterfly kick. At this level they will learn the rest of the Butterfly stroke and flip turns with an emphasis on competitive stroke technique.

Adult Beginner Swim Lessons

Maybe you know how to swim, but just need a little extra help? Adult Swim lessons will help you with form, skill, and endurance.

WATER AEROBICS

These uniquely designed water aerobic exercise classes improve core strength, tone and flexibility and burn unwanted calories. This series of fun, hour-long water exercise routines uses music, light water weights, Aqua Belts, and Noodles to help gain body confidence, muscle tone, and strength. 

*What to wear and bring with you? Bathing suits, light weight running shorts and tank top or shirt. Bring your own towel to each class.
