PRIVATE LESSONS

Do you need a little one-on-one instruction, want to focus on a targeted area, or just improve your swimming?

Parents of children 12 and under must be present on the pool deck, during swim lessons.

KROC KINGFISH SWIM TEAM
Ages: 6-8 yrs. | 9-16 yrs.

Join the Kroc Center Swim Team to learn training and racing techniques. The Kroc Kingfish Swim Team competes in the Mid-South Swim Conference.

ADULT SWIM

ADULT BEGINNER SWIM LESSONS
Ages 13+

Gain water confidence by learning water safety. Learn to back float, front glide, tread water, and basic swim strokes.

 

ADULT INTERMEDIATE SWIM LESSONS
Ages 13+

Learn to swim, improve your stroke, train to meet your fitness goals, or review basic water safety. Our personal coaches will design an individual lesson to meet your goals

INFANT SWIM

INFANT SWIM: GUPPY
Ages 6 mos.-3 yrs.

Parents are taught how to safely hold and work with their child in the water. Water exploration, games, and new water skills will make this class a fun experience for both of you.

TODDLER SWIM

TODDLER SWIM INTERMEDIATE: SEAHORSE
Level 1
Ages 3-5 yrs.

Students in this class may be new swimmers or comfortable in the water. Students will learn to blow bubbles, put their face in the water, back float, front glide, roll from front to back and back to front, and swim freestyle with good form for short distances. Children will develop positive attitudes and safe practices in the water.

TODDLER SWIM INTERMEDIATE: STARFISH
Level 2
Ages 3-5 yrs.

This class will increase proficiency and build on the basic aquatic skills learned in Level 1 Beginnerclasses and reinforce water safety concepts. Children at the Starfish level will continue to practice skills taught in the previous class, and will begin to learn elementary breathing (blowing bubbles and bobbing up and down in shallow water), while swimming with support from the instructor. They will begin to learn how to float on their backs, as well as how to roll from their front to their back, back to front , and swim short distances. They will explore different depths of water by jumping into shallow and deep water.

TODDLER SWIM ADVANCED: SEATURTLE
Level 3
Ages 3-5 yrs.

This class is designed for children who have the ability to swim two body lengths on their front and back and fully submerge their body under water. Participants in this class are advanced in their swimming skills, and have passed Seahorse level 1, and Starfish Level 2.

YOUTH SWIM

YOUTH INTRODUCTORY SWIM LESSONS: JELLYFISH
Level 1
Ages 6-12 yrs.

Students in this class may be new swimmers or comfortable in the water. This class will familiarize children with the aquatic environment and help them acquire basic aquatic skills. It is designed for children with no water experience. Children will develop positive attitudes, and safe practices in the water.

YOUTH BEGINNER SWIM LESSONS: STINGRAY
Level 2
Ages 6-12 yrs.

This class will build on basic aquatic concepts and water safety skills learned in Jellyfish level 1. Students learn how to swim Free Style and the Back Stroke, and how to float unsupported. They will also learn how to tread water for 30-60 seconds, dive, and do a pike surface dive in order to retrieve toys 4 feet deep.

 

YOUTH INTERMEDIATE SWIM LESSONS: DOLPHIN
Level 3
Ages 6-12 yrs.

This class will build on sills learned in intro and beginner swim lessons. Dolphin level students will swim Free Style and the Back Stroke further and with more proficiency. Students learn how to do the Breast Stroke and the Elementary Backstroke, as well as the Butterfly kick. They work on diving and the pike surface dive. They learn how to do the feet first surface dive and retrieve toys 3.5-10 feet deep.

 

YOUTH ADVANCED SWIM LESSONS: SHARK
Level 4
Ages 6-12 yrs.

Shark level students will work on the 4 competitive strokes. They also learn how to do a racing start. Coming into this level, they have learned Free Style, Back Stroke, Breast Stroke, and the Butterfly kick. At this level they will learn to perfect the Butterfly stroke and flip turns with an emphasis on competitive stroke technique.

 

 

WATER CLASSES

WATER AEROBICS
Ages: 16+

These uniquely designed water aerobic exercise classes improve core strength, tone and flexibility and burn unwanted calories. This series of fun, hour-long water exercise routines uses music, light water weights, Aqua Belts, and Noodles to help gain body confidence, muscle tone, and strength.

*What to wear and bring with you? Bathing suits, light weight running shorts and tank top or shirt. Bring your own towel to each class.

AQUA ZUMBA
Ages: 16+

Known as the Zumba pool party, the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aqua fitness, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout.

WATER IN MOTION
Ages: 16+

WATERinMOTION® is the newest aqua exercise workout that provides a low impact, high-energy challenge for participants of all ages, skill and fitness levels. Jump in and make a splash with this dynamic cardiovascular workout that tones and tapers the entire body. With land equivalent intensity, fantastic sing-along quality music, and dynamic instructors, enjoy the pure fun of this 60 minute water extravaganza.
