Parents of children 12 and under must be present on the pool deck, during swim lessons.

KID SWIM:

Stage 1:

WATER BASICS
(Age 3-12)

Students develop comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water in stage 1. They also learn to float on their back with support. The goal is for the children to jump in, go under, & swim a short distance with their face in the water. This stage lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.

 

Stage 2:

STROKE BASICS
(Age 3-12)

In stage 2, students focus on body position and control, directional change, and forward movement in the water as well as unassisted floating.

 

Stage 3:

STROKE DEVELOPMENT
(Age 3-12)

In stage 3, students learn how to swim to safety from a longer distance than in previous stages. Students learn how to do the Breast Stroke and the Elementary Backstroke, as well as the Butterfly kick and dives.

 

Stage 4:

STROKE IMPROVEMENT
(Age 3-12)

Students in stage 4 work on stroke technique and learn all major competitive strokes. The emphasis on water safety continues through treading water and sidestroke.

 

ADULT SWIM:

Stage 1:

SWIM BASICS
(Age 13 and up)

The adult swim basics class will help you build swimming skills, acclimate to the water and begin to develop proper swimming strokes like the freestyle and backstroke.

 

Stage 2:

SWIMMING FOR FITNESS
(Age 13 and up)

Work on your form and endurance, learn to create a pool workout plan and achieve your fitness goals in the water!

 

Stage 3:

PARENT/CHILD
(6-36 months)

The parent child swim class introduces children to the wonder of the water under the care of a certified swim instructor and their parent.

 

WATER CLASSES:

Aqua Kickboxing:

Ages 16+

Join our brand new water aerobics class that combines low impact kickboxing techniques with strength training exercises to create an exciting and fun workout! This class improves strength, balance, agility, flexibility, and is great for all ages! Take the workout outside of the ring and into the water!

H2YOGA:

This is a water-based workout you have never tried before. We combine elements of balance, bodyweight exercises, Yoga, Plyometrics, HIIT, and Pilates, all on our Aqua Physical fitness boards in the pool. Come try this new and exciting way to exercise at the Kroc! Please note that while we may have free demo classes, this class is a fee-based class.
